Vivian Maier was a highly secretive woman and even those closest to her had no idea of her amazing talent for photography. The French-American nanny captured life around her and on her travels on her Rolleicord camera but the fascinating collection was kept behind locked doors. It was only when her photographs were bought by chance at an auction in 2007 that they were seen by the outside world. Launched globally shortly after her death in 2009, the world immediately stood up and took notice. The collection has been exhibited worldwide and a film documenting her work, 'Finding Vivian Maier' was nominated for an Oscar and numerous other awards this year. Today we are choosing fabrics for our new scarf collections. We're really excited to offer alternatives for different seasons, cottons for that light summer cover-up and wools or cashmere for snuggling up in the winter. The hard part is deciding on which ones! We'll keep you updated...

I am completely obsessed with following this amazing restoration project on Instagram (http://instagram.com/chateaugudanes). In 2013, an Australian family set about bringing this 18th century Chateau in the South of France back to its former glory. The project is captured beautifully using atmospheric photography of architectural detail and hidden gems. I love the soft, dusty tones and textures of crumbling layers of plaster.

We are welcoming the New Year with a new range of products for Katie Brown Designs. For the first time our signature prints will be available on a selection of natural fabrics for interiors sold by the metre. This will be accompanied by a collection of cushions in complimentary prints. We can't wait to show off the product of months of hard work! Katie will be officially launching the collection to trade at Home London from 11-13 January 2015 in London's Olympia. We will be at stand E62 - please get in touch if you plan to pop by. Shortly afterwards, we will be launching the collection on our website. Stay tuned!
